Andy began his culinary education at Joliet Junior College, where he earned his AAS in Culinary arts. He then attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park to study baking and pastry arts.
Andy’s professional career began at the Four Seasons Chicago where he specialized in fine dining desserts. He has also spent time working for Ritz-Carlton; both at the Amelia Island Grill Room and serving as a member of the opening team of the Ritz-Carlton Washington D.C. In addition, he has worked as the Pastry Chef/Corporate Account Manager at Albert Uster Imports, Inc.
In 2011, Andy appeared on the TV show “Food Network Challenge,” where he created an intricate dress sculpted from sugar which won the competition.
Today Andy teaches baking and pastry arts at Joliet Junior College in Joliet, IL where he began his career. He resides in Plainfield, IL with his wife Heather and four children.
